If we cannot willingly and gracefully be a student to something new, what is the point? Perfection is not necessary. In fact, perfection brings death to inspiration, curiosity, and beauty.
There is beauty in imperfection. There is a fragile grace to owning something that is not perfect and knowing that the only way forward is progress.
Am I attempting to teach myself the ability to tell a story through video? Yes. Is it perfect? No. Does it have to be perfect right away? Absolutely not.
You have the freedom and the power to learn something new. Never let anyone look down on you for creating something imperfect. It is a step in the direction of growth. Perfection is not the end goal and growth and creativity is.
Create something new. Own it. Marvel in it. Understand that it is beautiful regardless of anything and everything the world (and that voice inside your head) will try and tell you. Creating something messy is a worthwhile creation.
Leave perfection at the door and chase endlessly after that which stirs your heart.
