Social Media Detox: Day 24

It’s almost been a month since I decided to delete social media on what can only really be described as a whim. The change within me is so great that my family is starting to notice an actual difference in who I am. My sister literally looked at me the other day and said, “You’re happier without social media.” How right she is.

I’m happier, more focused and energized, there’s more inspiration in my little pinky than there was in my whole being just twenty-four days ago, and the joy of life seems to have come back to me. At this point I am almost dreading the return I will be making at some point to social media platforms. This joy I have found is not something I want to lose to the endless scroll and hours spent on my phone.

How will I ever be able to come back?

Until Next Time,

Lillian Merritt
