Day 254: My Favorite Classics

Classics are by far some of the most underappreciated and most amazing books in the world. Not only do they allow you to peek into the minds of author who lived a long time ago, they also allow you to travel back into time. Classics have something about them that current books just don't have. Here is a list of my all time favorite classics.

• Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Every list of my favorite books has to start with Jane Eyre. It is by far the most amazing book I have ever read in my entire like, and I have read hundreds of books if not thousands. It is a tale of the most beautiful love story between two very unlikely characters who have two very different lives. Jane Eyre is a character everyone can relate to in one way or another and her story is so beautifully written with the most amazing details. Filled with transformative quotes and sickening plot twists, this book will have you coming back again and again.

• Dracula by Bram Stoker

Written by far in the most interesting way possible, this classic and well-known story is so much better told through the pages of the this novel. Compiled in a way that tells the story through different characters journal pages, letters and even news articles it will have you turn the pages without stop until the end. Every story that has remained famous for so many years is that way for a reason, from the first moment onward you will see exactly why it is such a well known story. The characters will capture your heart instantly and keep you hooked even after you close the book.

• Anne Of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

A beautiful story about a girl that completely captures the picture of youth and imagination will capture your inner child instantly. Holding some of the best characters in literary history, this book will have you smiling from ear to ear or shaking your head with embarrassment as you feel for the sweet main character. Not to mention you'll be rooting for the relationship blooming between Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe. A true classic that can be read again and again without fail.

• The Count Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

If you are in for an extremely long story you will not want to miss one of the greatest revenge stories of all time. This tale will have you turning the pages faster and faster wondering if some characters will catch on or if some of the most daring feats will end up working. If you can stick it out till the end you will be greatly rewarded.

• A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

I must be honest about this one, I am not a fan of the way this story was written. The story is so beautiful and tragic and yet I lost it within the extensive wording and descriptions that in my mind were not necessary, but I could see why they were there. I am not often an emotional reader, however, this one did it for me. The last few pages had me absolutely sobbing. A story of love, adventure, and loss you will no doubt close this book while sobbing uncontrollably.
