Day 243: Having Friends

Friendship is something we should never take for granted and it is definitely something we have taken for granted in the past. Before we were all placed into a quarantine, I believe a lot of us took for granted the people in our lives and the moments with them that have now become so incredibly special. We've been given the opportunity to see our lives from a new perspective and it's show us some things we don't overly like.

As we begin to come out on the other side of the pandemic, we've come to realize how important our relationships with others are and how much we may have neglected them. We have some amazing people in our lives and when we have to spend months without seeing them, it becomes quite clear how things need to change.

We've all come to realize that the last time we say goodbye to some might have to last an unexpected amount of moths. We've all come to realize that hugging someone might be the last time for months on end as we are recommended to stay away from people. We have all come to realize that the people in our lives are incredibly important and it hurts to not be able to have them around.

As we come into a completely new world on the other side of this pandemic, I think we should all be more considerate of the people in our lives. They are truly important and it hurts when you cannot hold them, see them, and spend quality time with them. And so as we come out of this pandemic, I would encourage you to change a few things with how you handle your relationships.

Say goodbye as if it will be the last time, hug them like it will have to last upwards of forever, and be sure to tell those you love how much you care about them. We never know what will happen in our lives, it's best to live as if each time we leave will be the last. How would you like to leave your friendships if you thought you might never see them again? Treat each day like the last, hold them close and never stay angry throughout the night.

Until Next Time,
Lillian Merritt
