Day 143: Showing Your Love
Happy Valentine's Day! Today is the day the entire world celebrates love and the joy of being loved. Some couldn't be happier on this special holiday, others would much rather the day be skipped entirely. Whatever you thoughts are of Valentine's Day, let's use today as the day to tell everyone we love how much they mean to us.
Today is more than saying "I love you" to your significant other. It is an opportunity to say "I love you" to all those you love, your family, your friends, as well as your significant other. It is a chance to tell everyone how much you appreciate their presence in your life.
So often we take the people in our lives for granted. We know we love them and we assume they know we love them and we often don't tell them the simple fact that yes indeed we do love them. When was the last time you told your best friend how much they mean to you and how thankful you are that they are in your life?
The people in our lives are so incredibly special and today is the perfect day to simply tell they what they mean to you. Write them a nice text, call them on the phone, send some flowers, etc. Whatever you think is a appropriate way to tell someone who means a lot to you that you love them.
Love is not only for your significant other. A lot of the time we get this idea that saying I love you only applies to someone you're dating, engaged to, married to, etc. Yet that simple phrase can be said to a large variety of people, because we love in different ways.
We love our families and we love our friends in ways that we will never love our significant other. It is about time we truly appreciate them and show them how much we actually care. In most cases we would do absolutely anything for them and still never tell them how much they mean to us.
So today on this beautiful Valentine's Day, no matter how you plan on celebrating it, tell the people you love how much they mean to you. Tell them you care and be sure to remind them of that often, you never know what the future will bring so best be ready for whatever happens. Say "I love you" more often and really truly mean it.
Until Next Time,
