Day 81: The Real Ones

Aren't friends the best? The real friends, the ones you truly know will never leave. You can spend hours doing literally nothing or spend hours talking nonstop. These are the kind of friends that truly feed your soul and fill your heart with such joy.

Any time spent with friends is time well spent. Yet the time spent with one of those friends...that time is gold. Hours go by in seconds and it feels like you have been together all day. These are the kinds of friends that are just gold. They are actually there for you and they actually care. When you find one of these, don't let go.

It can be extremely hard to find a connection with someone that will last the strain of time and distance. It seems like in today's day and age, people don't want to put in the effort to make a relationship work. They like it when you give them attention, but there isn't any sort of true connection between you.

These kind of friendships are truly devastating and suffocating to be in. They drain you and drag you down. However, you might not realize it when you are in such a friendship. It isn't until you let go of them or they let go of you that you realize just how stifling that person was.

But the real ones. The ones that are there for you when you need it, who can laugh with you about anything, who will cry on your shoulder and comfort you, and will talk for hours about your biggest fears...those are the ones that are keepers.

They make you feel light and no matter how much time you spend with them you will never tire of their presence. They are worth keeping and they are worth putting the effort in for, because they give just as much as you do. The friends that really care will not disappear one day or fade slowly away, no matter what happen they will be there for you.

Even if months go by without talking, the affection has not left and upon seeing them again it is as if no time has passed at all. They are the ones that can sense when something is bothering you. They're the ones that will hug you for as long as you need and won't judge when you emotionally eat seven cookies.

Real friends are the best because you know they will not leave. They are different from the ones who have left, you can tell that they truly care about you no matter what you do or say. They are the ones that make life magical and beautiful and everything it should be.

So here's to the real friends who will never leave our side! They're the best!
