Day 353: Looking To Tomorrow

This year has taken a toll on all of us in many different ways. We have all had experiences tarnished by this year and the events contained within it. It has been rough and there is no doubt in denying that. There has not been a single person left untouched by 2020 and for decades we shall continue to speak of this year.

But that is not the end. The situations we are facing and the problems that have occurred are not all that there is for us. We shall move on and we shall continue our lives, because we are stronger than a single year. This year has been terrible and some have lost it all, but there is always hope.

There is hope because there is tomorrow. All we can do is look towards the future and hold onto the knowledge that it will get better. We might not know when or in what way, but are darkest days will not last forever and the light will shine again. It might not be tomorrow, but one day it certainly will get better.

This year is slowly drawing to a close and we have reached the point where we are far closer to next year than the start of this one. And while the start of a new year does not promise a completely better life, it changes our perspective. We begin to see things in a new light because we have reached another big milestone, the year 2021.

Try to bring that new years mentality to your every day life and see where it will lead you. Every day is the beginning of a new year and a fresh start. Try not to focus on everything terrible happening around you and in the world. Look to the future where things will get better.

Until Next Time,
Lillian Merritt
