Day 224: This I Am Grateful For

During trying times, it is very important to remind yourself to be grateful of the things you have in our life. When circumstances are difficult, it’s important to remember the things you do have so that you have a ray of light shining in your darkness. I hope this list of things I am grateful for will be inspiration for you to create a list like this for yourself.

  • Having great health
  • Being surrounded by my mom, dad, and sister who truly care about me
  • The God I serve and the promise of eternal life through His Son
  • My country and my flag
  • The book “Jane Eyre” (it’s my favorite)
  • The ability to create impactful art
  • FaceTime and the fact that such technology was invented
  • Having incredible friends who have my back no matter what
  • Streaming the tv show “Blue Blood” for hours every night
  • Waking up every morning and getting a cup of Yorkshire Gold Tea
  • A comfortable bed to sleep in at night
  • Spotify and the ability to play any song ever
  • Meaningful conversations that last till the small hours of morning
  • Being able to workout and create better physical health
  • Dark chocolate
  • Having a roof over my head
  • Meeting someone and know they’ll be your friend forever
  • Pinterest and the hours spent on there being inspired
  • Shopping at Goodwill and finding vintage clothing
  • Journaling my thoughts as a form of processing them
  • Ballroom dancing in a fancy ballroom
  • The ability and freedom to travel anywhere you want to go
  • Having friends over for coffee
  • Amazing sunsets right after a storm
  • Old time music especially if it’s Frank Sinatra
  • Eating far too much Häagen-Dazs ice cream
  • Creating a piece of art from absolutely nothing but and idea and a story
  • Abandoned buildings
  • Sitting outside in the bed of a truck listening to the sounds of nature
  • Freedom

What are you grateful for?

Until Next Time,
Lillian Merritt
