Photography has been a passion of mine for such a long time, but before I discovered photography there was writing. I dreamed of becoming a famous author and selling millions of books. And while I still dream of doing that, my overarching life goals have shifted.
There will always be a part of me that wants to write. That is why I write in-depth captions for all my photos and why I write blog posts. That is also why I decided to write a blog post every day for an entire year.
I turned eighteen a few days ago and spent most of the time since then traveling back to America from France and Scotland. Because of this I was not able to start posting on my birthday. But today is day two of 366 days and I am so looking forward to sharing with you all of my thoughts, adventures, and stories from each day.
When I decided to do this idea I was incredibly hesitant, in all reality I still am. But I believe it will be an incredible journey of discovery and growth. I am sharing these blog posts with you because often times another’s story of change and growth can inspire and motivates others.
I have no doubt in my mind that I will change over this next year, dedicating myself to something this challenging and exciting is the perfect incubator for growth. There will be adventures to tell of and failures to learn from and through it all I hope to inspire change in others.
Life is not a constant course, there will be challenges and there will be periods of great joy. Allowing ourselves to change and adjust through the days and months that we are alive is necessary to living a bountiful life.
We cannot thrive on consistency, when we remain the same we become stagnant and we resist new ideas. When we allow ourselves room to grow we open ourselves up to new possibilities and new experiences. There are certain things in life we simply cannot go through as the person we are today. We must change and accept new characteristics to our personality in order to welcome into our life new things.
Remaining the same will never lead to happiness. It is impossible to go through life as the same exact person you are.
So I encourage you as I venture onto this journey of self-discovery and exploration to follow along and allow yourself to grow. Make room in your life for new things by cutting out some of the old things. I know I will not be the same person in a year that I am today and I am excited to see where I end up. There will be hardships and there will be moments of pure exhilaration and I am excited about each and every one of them.
Here is to a year of growth, change, and adventures. I look forward to sharing it with you along the way.
Until Next Time,
